SUMMARY:Creating a Movement Vocabulary Using Dalcroze Eurhythmics
DESCRIPTION:This session will explore many examples of the different types of movement students can do to expand and solidify their music learning. In Dalcroze Eurhythmics, the body is the first instrument. When students can find ways to move that are natural, expressive, and enjoyable, they will be able to connect the types of movements with musical concepts. Specifically, participants will move in creative and authentic ways to demonstrate beat, rhythm patterns, meter, articulations, and dynamics.
