SUMMARY:Incorporating Dalcroze Eurhythmics into Sight-Singing and Aural Skills Training
DESCRIPTION:This experiential session will demonstrate new ways to approach sight-singing and aural training in the choral rehearsal by incorporating movement. Rooted in the Dalcroze philosophy, students can deepen their understanding and strengthen their ability to sight-sing by combining cognitive, aural, and kinesthetic functions. This session will specifically address walking scales and melodic passages while singing in solfege and with numbers/letter names.
