DESCRIPTION:“This hands-on session will give the participants an opportunity to experience movement activities based on Dalcroze Eurhythmics techniques. Dalcroze Eurhythmics fosters rhythmic integrity and expression, using the body as the primary instrument. The music of five popular artists: Sara Bareilles, Natasha Bedingfeld, Kelly Clarkson, Lady Gaga, and Christina Perri will be used for the movement experiences. The musical concepts taught through these musical selections include form, meter, durations, rhythmic patterns, and phrasing. The material presented is appropriate for upper elementary and middle school\nstudents.
