DESCRIPTION:This session will explore the emotional connections that result from music and purposeful movement. Musical elements, such as phrasing, tension & relaxation, rubato, dynamics and meter will be connected to movement and improvised and composed music. Participants will work in large and small movement ensembles to express the musical elements. Handouts will provide extensions on the activities as well as repertoire lists.\n
