DESCRIPTION:This active session will provide meaningful movement activities rooted in the Dalcroze philosophy which align with the social and emotional learning (SEL) template. The presenters will connect the Dalcroze approach to the five core competencies of self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship skills, responsible decision making through purposeful activities. As SEL needs to be intentional, sustainable, and embeddable, the interweaving of the objectives and activities will be shown as not just inherent happenings, but rather, as a purposeful and empowering strengthening of the music curriculum.\n
